| You
may hear the word "hallelujah" this season. What
does the word “hallelujah” bring to mind? A happy
word? A religious word? A common word?
Hallelujah is a special word. It is a Hebrew word that means
praise to “Yah”. Or "Praise the LORD".
It is part of the LORD’s name which is translated Jehovah
or Yahweh. So when we say, “Hallelujah” we are
saying, Praise the Yahweh" or "Praise the Jehovah".
Jehovah, or Yahweh is same name because it is formed by the
same Hebrew letters but it is pronouced differently. The Bible
says that the name of the LORD (YHWH) is to be praised from
the rising of the sun to its setting (Psalm 113:3). The name
LORD: http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H3068&t=KJV
We don’t know exactly how God’s holy name should
be pronounced now because to the Jews it was so sacred that
they said “Ha Shem” meaning “the name”
instead, but we can do our best. Who is “Ha Shem?”
Ha Shem is the Triune God.
The Bible introduces the Son of God as the Word. “In
the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the
Word was God…. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among
us and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1,14).
We remember that God took on flesh. Jeshua, Jesus’
Hebrew name means “Jehovah saves”. Jesus was and
is the eternal Son of God who declared, “He
who has seen me has seen the Father”(John 14:9). The
Father and the Son as well as the Holy Spirit work in harmony
as three interdependent Persons. The Son of God revealed the
Father. “He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God...”
(Colossians 1:15). He, in fact, is the Creator. “[God]
hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he
hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the
worlds. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express
image of his person, and upholding all things by the word
of his power…” (Hebrews 1:2-3, cf. John 1:1-3;
Colossians 1:16). The Son is the amazing Person that came
to this earth to purchase our salvation with his life blood,

separating from the Father for his short sojourn on earth
(I Peter 1:2), http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Peter+1:2&version=NIV
We know that the Son of God did not come on December 25th
and that it was the decision of the Roman Catholic Church
to bring about this holiday in history to replace a pagan
date of the birth of the sun god http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas
at the time of winter solstice.
So at this time of year we celebrate the good news that Jesus
came into our world over 2,000 years ago to bring the light
of God’s truth into our lives and to purchase the eternal
life of God for us. Jesus himself said, “I have come
that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”
(John 10:10, NKJV).
My wish is to you the same as with the apostle Paul: "The
grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the
communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen"
(II Corinthians 13:4). May you know him, whom to know is life
eternal (John 17.3).http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Jhn&c=17&v=3&t=KJV#3

Priorities:
- CARE children to Christ! That's our motto.
- We are committed to the well-being of each child. The
Bible is our sure foundation; all of our activities flow
from this excellent, truthful source.
- We promote Bible memorization. And the children love it!
I am sure we underestimate what children are able to do
with respect to memorizing the Word of God.
- We incorporate laying a foundation in Genesis http://www.christiananswers.net/evangelism/methods/creation.html.,
such topics as dinosaurs and the fossil record http://www.answersingenesis.org/kids.
- In all we do, we build enjoyment into the program. We
want the children to have FUN as they learn about the God
of the Bible and how best to live a pleasing and pure life.
"And this I pray that
your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and
all discernment that you may approve the things that are excellent
and that you may be sincere and without offense till the day
of Christ being filled with the fruits of righteousness which
are by Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God (Philippians
1:9-11).
Quote: "It's been a huge blessing
to have you lead our children's program this summer."
